| Description | 1987 Ferrari Cartier watch. This automatic solid 18K gold watch is the among the last ones commissioned by Il Commendatore. Only 50 were made and none were sold commercially, they were gifted to special clients and friends like Gianni Agnelli. We have one very clean example available with box and papers. You cannot buy these anywhere; and this is the only one we have ever seen! The watch is a chrono with date, and a moonphase in one of the subdials. This watch is branded 'Ferrari Formula' by Cartier and is in ‘as new’ condition, complete with box and guarantee card. It is a 40mm chronograph with date function, and utilizes the Swiss made Valjoux 7750 automatic movement. The case is in solid 18kt gold, and is water resistant. Expensive but much rarer and more historically significant than a modern day Girard-Perregaux or Panerai. This rare watch can be seen in the 1990 issue of Ferrari World, volume 8. |
