Alberto Ascari won the event in a Lancia D24 leading the factory-entered Ferrari 500 Mondial by 26 minutes—Ferrari’s first defeat at the Mille Miglia since 1948! Second place went to Vittorio Marzotto in Ferrari 500 Mondial s/n 0404MD. Third went to Luigi Musso in a Maserati A6GCS/53. |
