| Description | 1/5 1931 Mercedes SSKL. An incredibly complex and large scratchbuilt model made almost entirely from metal from around 4000 (!!) pieces. The body is brass over a wooden frame, just like the real car. It features full engine detail (as designed by Ferdinand Porsche)- nothing is missing on this spectacular museum quality model. A special edition of just 5 have been built for our shop. Each one is being constructed differently (colors, steering wheel, leather seats, & other options) and will be unique and a one-off. These measure 36x12x12" (LxWxH) with engine cowl open and weigh about 40lbs. The 1931 Mille Miglia winner is also available, as piloted by Rudolf Caracciola. |
