Description1931 Le Mans paddock sign. This is an original ACO enamel sign that hung over the pits. It is in good condition for its age, but with the expected rust and patina from both use and time. It measures approximately 26" along each of the three sides. The bottom writing is partially covered with corrosion but reads "Panonceau Valable Pour" which translates to 'Sign Valid For' followed by the year '1931' below. You can see this exact ACO triangular style of logo on the 1931 rulebook showing above. This year's race was won by the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 LM of Birkin & Howe followed by a Mercedes SSKL and a Talbot.
