| Description | 1948 Targa Florio winner's trophy. The XXXII Targa Florio 1948
VII Giro di Sicilia. A large bronze plate measuring 20.5x15.5" and weighing about 31 lbs. This rare trophy has a wonderful patina to it, with an embossed car followed by several horses. It has been period framed with a nameplate describing the winners. This race was won by Clemente Biondetti & Prince Igor Troubetskoy while driving Ferrari 166S Allemano Spider #001S. This was quite significant as it was the Scuderia's first major international win. Similar TF trophies can be seen in the book "Piloti che Gente", on page 84. |
