| Description | 1949 Mille Miglia poster. This special banner in Italian "Attenti Al Passaggio XVI (21st) Coppa Mille Miglia 21st April 1949" measures 9.5x27.5" and is in excellent condition. We believe this was a cautionary sign posted during the race to draw attention to a passageway or street that was being used exclusively for the event racing cars. The race was won by Clemente Biondetti / Ettore Salani driving Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Touring #624 followed by Felice Bonetto / Carpani in the Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Touring. Third place went to Rol / Richiero in the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Competizione Berlinetta.
